SOM Biotech collaborated in the organization of the University of Barcelona Summer Course: “Rare Diseases: from the patient to the cure”. Within the framework of the course, Dr. Raúl Insa, SOM Biotech CEO, did a master class included in the module “Pharmaceuticals in rare diseases”. The topic of his speech was: “Repositioning of drugs in rare diseases”.

This course was supported together with Pfizer (www.pfizer.es) and Duchenne Parent Project Spain (www.duchenne-spain.org).
The course addressed the development process that follows an orphan drug globally since it is identified until an orphan medicinal product is available for patients.
