The third edition of Trifermed Awards for Social Impact in Healthcare was held on 14th June 2018 at the CaixaForum in Barcelona, Spain. The Trifermed Awards is a ceremony that recognizes motivated individuals and organizations that aim to improve the quality of healthcare in the society, with the common goal of developing a better world.
According to Prof. Dr. Sergi Trilla, CEO of Trifermed CBDO, “the Trifermed awards seek to bring out human value behind each person or group of people who approach each day thinking of helping others, improving quality of people’s lives and finding solutions to the diseases against which we fight every day, creating stories that bet to change the world with great impact on health.”
Four winners were named in the awards: Fundació Pasqual Maragall for the ‘Foundations’ category, Banc de Sang i Teixits for the ‘Initiatives’ category, Prof. Andreu Mas-Colell for the ‘Impulse’ category and Dr. Oriol Mitjà for the extraordinary award.
SOM Biotech CEO, Dr. Raúl Insa was invited to the event, together with other notable professionals in the sector, both national and international.
